Dr. Veronica Huggins

I am Dr. Vee, a native of Johns Island, South Carolina. I am a Licensed
Social Worker, Mentor, and a Teaching Associate Professor of Social Work.
I became a licensed social worker in 2014, but have rendered services for
over 20 years in both micro (individual) and macro-level capacities
(groups/communities).

Perspective on Healing

Dr. Vee’s favorite part of social work: is when she has helped an individual
recognize their strengths despite circumstances. She tries to convey to
students and clients that there is no universal definition of success and
healing; it may look different for everyone
